Training Time

Training, the sixth phase in developing, implementing and upgrading clinical information systems, includes the databases, processing logic, and outputs of the system’s features and functions.

It has two levels:
  1. Project team and selected members of the departmental team receive training from the developers or vendor.
  2. The End-user training. It is done no more than 6 weeks prior to activation of the new system.
Choo choo! It's a TRAIN! *badumtss!*
The phases in developing, implementing and upgrading a CIS
is nearly finished.

Important notes, however, should be observed:
Training should take place before and during activation of a new system.

Training is most effective when it is interactive and hands-on.
